dressing up for the market

I finally got to wear my Hackwith Design House dress from Picky Girl Boutique. Since I have such long legs I had to wait to get it back from the tailors. FINALLY!!!!!! I have a feeling I will be wearing this awesome dress a lot this Fall.

Since my Mom was in town this past weekend I took her to the "must see" Seattle spots.  The Pike Place Market being one of them where I found this adorable burlap bag. I remembered this booth from when my sister was in town and bought a unique bag from the artist/owner.

Between my new dress and my new bag I am ready for my next visit to the market! Happy Thursday.

Once again another reason I don't throw out all my clothes ... chunky sweaters are in again.  I knew I kept this wool sweater around for a reason.  This old JCrew sweater has always been a favorite of mine because of the interesting collar with the hooks.  Plus I just love the mint green color!!!

most versatile shirt is ...

the JEAN shirt. Awhile back I was on a hunt for the perfect jean shirt. I was convinced I would find one at a consignment shop but sadly it didn't pan out.  After a friend of mine told me about her JCrew jean shirt I decided I would check it out. She was right JCrew had exactly what I was looking for. I love it so much that I am pretty sure I will be posting a new jean shirt outfit each week.  It seriously goes with EVERYTHING!  So be prepared to see this shirt again and again and again!

I have decided to start taking photos of my new surroundings in Seattle.  It's always easy to do the touristy thing when you have visitors.  Soooo thank you Dad for a wonderful visit.  I am going to try and capture more of Seattle each week!  Stay tuned for more newbie local love!  Happy Friday!

fashion's night out = polka dots galore

In honor of Fashion's Night Out and the fact that Zara is now available online I decided to show you my outfit for tonight's party.

Two pieces that are on everyone's fashion must have list for fall are:
1) Polka dot blouse
2) Heeled loafers

I decided to dust off my last year's Charles David loafers and pair them with my new Zara polka dot blouse and Voila! I am a walking talking fall must have. HA!!

I can't be more excited.  I've been back in LA this week and had to make a stop at my favorite chain store... ZARA.  Since living in Seattle I have missed stopping by weekly to see what I must buy.  HA!  Well good news next week you can shop online!!!!  YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYA!
