it's nautical
I love Anne M. Cramer's Flynn skirt so much that I now own two. As in a previous post (seen here) I was obsessed with my red and white striped Flynn skirt. NOW I have her Nautical one too and I can't wait to mix and match it. I decided to wear it with a pair of my favorite gray shoes from Urban Outfitters. Also, please note the DIY earrings!!!! I took a pair of vintage clip-ons and converted them to posts and voila!

last dance
I know I keep saying this but I am really loving 70's style. Two things I am obsessing over this spring/summer are ... jumpsuits and bold colors. I recently stopped in at H&M after work and saw this amazing black jumpsuit and well, well, well IT'S AWESOME and really inexpensive. On another after work shopping excursion I was walking past Zara and in the window I saw the most fabulous shoes. I know you may think I am crazy but these shoes screamed "BUY ME JANE". Within 2 seconds of trying them on I knew these were mine.
I didn't plan on wearing the jumpsuit and bold colored shoes together but as Donna Summer's song "Last Dance" was playing in my head I decided that this girl needs a dancing night out!!!!!

white stripes
It's Tuesday and I wanted to brighten up this dreary day with some color. This Flynn skirt by Anne Cramer was an easy choice since it is the brightest skirt in my collection. I recently bought this fun skirt from ... wait for it ... Picky Girl Boutique. It is one of my favorite pieces in my closet. I am tempted to buy it in every color. If only money grew on trees. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Since I am feeling inspired by songs/bands lately I couldn't have been more happy to get in my car this morning and the first song on the radio was Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes. As I was listening to the song a bell went off in my head and blog post title was created. HA I know.

the temper trap and free people
OK I know it has been over a week since I last posted. Besides being crazy busy at work and not feeling great I haven't felt super inspired lately. Until today!!!!! As I was driving to work this morning I couldn't help but roll down my window and turn up my radio as I was listening to a mixed CD my roommate made. I was thinking TODAY IS GOING TO BE A GREAT DAY (it helps that the sun was shining and the temperature was already in the high 50's). Soooooooooo back to turning up the volume when one of my new favorite bands, The Temper Trap came on. Amazing, I love them. Finally, I got to work and decided to check out a few of my favorite websites. While on Free People I realized that their March catalog makes me just as excited as listening to The Temper Trap. So in today's post I am paying tribute to my two inspirations. Spring here I come!!
