say yes to the dress

After weeks of wedding dress shopping I finally found "the dress."  I love it so much that I have dreams about it. After trying on numerous dresses and liking a lot of them I was starting to feel like I wasn't going to find the one.  UNTIL ... until I tried on this random dress that I am not even sure why I grabbed it.  I honestly think I grabbed it because it was in my price range. Of course I started out with a price in mind and soon realized I was going to have to bump my price range up a bit in order to find my perfect dress.  Now, it is possible to find a dress in any price range and I was even open to buying a used dress or one that wasn't necessarily a wedding dress. I even came to the conclusion that "this is the one" statement wasn't going to be coming out of my mouth.  I was wrong.  The second I put it on and walked out to show my sister, my friend, and my nephew (yep he came along to support his Auntie Gigi) we all had the same reaction.  It was so unique and beautiful.  It had all of the elements I wanted. It's both beachy and vintage (old Hollywood). I can't wait for my fiance to see me in it. Unfortunately, I can't post pics of it because my dear fiance will see it (sorry) but I can post pics of all of the runner ups!

i said yes

Memorial Weekend was beyond amazing. It started out with my then boyfriend, now fiancĂ© proposing.  Need I say more?  He did a wonderful job designing the most spectacular ring I have ever seen. It's going to be hard to not make every post about it. HA!
I realized when I got dressed today that I must have been inspired by my new guilty pleasure TV show... Nashville.  I so can't wait for next season. I love wearing my favorite leather boots (thanks to my friend Jen for introducing me to this designer) and coordinating them with a fun summer dress. So get out your boots and dresses ladies!  Have a wonderful weekend!

Summertime and the livin's easy ...
One of my three favorite seasons is almost upon us which means it's time to pull out the shorts and swimsuits. OK maybe just the shorts for now (and not too short). Memorial weekend is coming up which to me is the kickoff to Summer. This summer I have decided to wear hats as much as possible for so many reasons (i.e. bad hair, beach/sun protection, they are just so darn cute, etc.). Expect to see lots of post with me wearing hats.

Enjoy your Memorial weekend!

i'm back

After a long hiatus I have decided it is time to get back into blogging. Thanks to all my friends who've been asking me about my blog and if I was ever going to do another post. Well ... I'm back!

I've decided to make my first post back the outfit I wore to the Wilson Phillips concert this past weekend.  That's right Wilson Phillips (they are also back). There is nothing better than belting out old songs with your sister. Oh wait there is ... jumping on stage and dancing with your sister.  Love you Ann!

Have a great Wednesday!  It feels good to be back.
